Tour Details

Gicheru mines trail is located on the Ndeiya Escarpment just a short drive out of Nairobi CBD. The Trail starts at a popular mission center heading into the village before descending the Rift Valley escarpment to follow the old trail to the mines. On the route is the western-bound SGR line cutting across the beautiful Savannah. The mines popular for chalk mining are a highlight at the bottom of the valley. The trail has a steep climb out of the Escarpment and ends at the start point.
